Thomas Baeté, fiddle & viol
Wieland Kuijken, Jordi Savall and Paolo Pandolfo were Thomas Baeté’s teachers. Today this young Fleming is very visible on the international stage with Mala Punica, La Roza Enflorese, Graindelavoix and Capilla Flamenca, but also with ensembles of his own. Laus Polyphoniae 2010 will welcome his brand new ensemble ClubMediéval. Baeté’s passion is comprehensive: music from the ars nova, ars subtilior, Spanish renaissance, and early baroque.

 Claire Chevallier, fortepiano & piano
Claire Chevallier is a French pianist with a soft spot for the 19th and 20th century: Frédéric Chopin, Erik Satie and Francis Poulenc have inspired her to daring multidisciplinary productions and recitals. Her private collection of old French keyboard instruments testifies to her love of the piano, its historical background and its maintenance. www.clairechevallier.com

Jurgen De bruyn, lute
Even though Zefiro Torna is his baby, this does not prevent him from performing in totally different contexts: with Chris Joris, Les Ballets C de la B and National Theatre Ghent. A musician of great integrity, always searching for new ways to discover stories, traditions and cultures, merging and translating them in the process. And as Roel Dieltiens put it tongue in cheek, he is not devoid of improvisational talent.www.zefirotorna.be
