Il Suonar Parlante

Il Suonar Parlante

Barbarian Beauty

The genuine barbarian beauty of East European folk music was a great source of inspiration to Telemann, infusing him with huge amounts of energy and new ideas. Il Suonar Parlante shares his joy in this unspoiled melodic and harmonic richness. The ensemble combines this music with a few rare, virtuoso concertos for viol and orchestra. Johann Gottlieb Graun takes the viol to the limits of its technical possibilities. Vittorio Ghielmi offers a fine example of Bohemian mastery.
