Weronika Janyst was born in Poland and graduated in organ studies from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in 2017. She is currently continuing her harpsichord studies under the guidance of Professor Nicholas Parle, while developing her interest in maintaining historical keyboard instruments at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig.
She has undertaken studies at the HMT Leipzig twice before, firstly as an exchange student in the Erasmus+ Programme, and then as a trainee curator of historical keyboard instruments. In 2015 Weronika Janyst was awarded the first prize at two national harpsichord competitions in Cracow and Poznan.
Each summer Weronica accompanies the class of Michael Schmidt-Casdorff at the Methodical Courses of Early Music in Warsaw. She also cooperates with the International Festival of Early Music in Bialystok, Poland, as a harpsichord technician, and in 2016 Weronika assisted as the harpsichord tuner and répétiteur at the EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy in Bucharest, Romania.
